Entrepreneurship Development Cell [EDC]

About EDC

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of TKEC works to promote and expand students' entrepreneurial skills in preparation for their own business enterprises. Even the Indian Government has recognized the importance of entrepreneurship and has created initiatives like Make in India and Start-up India. TKEC EDC supports entrepreneurial activities and spreads the entrepreneurial mindset among students of all disciplines.

The college is committed to providing students with essential resources, technical assistance, coaching and mentoring to help them create new products and services that contribute to society and the nation. TKEC aids every aspirant in converting their startup idea into reality through the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, which consists of dedicated faculty members with industrial exposure and active student representatives.

Why Entrepreneurship at Engineering?

Engineering plays a crucial role in solving real-world problems through creativity, innovation and technical knowledge. It is both exciting and challenging, as engineers develop new ideas, systems and products that improve human life and societal growth.

Entrepreneurship education provides engineers with strong exposure to product design, development, prototyping, technological trends and market analysis. It helps students transform technical ideas into practical business solutions and encourages them to become job creators instead of job seekers.

Entrepreneurship is important because it has the potential to raise living standards, generate employment and produce value for both entrepreneurs and society. Through innovation, entrepreneurs create new markets and introduce improved products and services that contribute to economic and social progress.
