Prof. Dr. V. Duraisamy is a distinguished academician, visionary administrator, and accomplished researcher with extensive expertise in engineering education, research, and institutional development. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Technology in 1991 and obtained his Master’s Degree in Electrical Machines in 1996. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by Anna University in 2006.
With more than 26 years of distinguished experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, Dr. V. Duraisamy has made significant contributions to the field of technical education. Prior to joining The Kavery Engineering College, he served as Principal at reputed institutions including Maharaja Institute of Technology and Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology.
An inspiring mentor and prolific researcher, he has published over 100 research papers in reputed National and International journals and conferences. He has successfully guided 5 Ph.D. scholars and more than 25 M.E. scholars, contributing extensively to research, innovation, and technological advancement in engineering disciplines.
Under his dynamic leadership, several departments have achieved accreditation and research recognition in areas including EEE, ECE, Mechanical Engineering, CSE, and MCA. He has also been instrumental in strengthening industry–institution collaboration through strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industries and organizations, thereby enhancing practical exposure and career opportunities for students.
Dr. V. Duraisamy has secured research and development grants exceeding ₹90 Lakhs, including prestigious funding for the establishment of an AICTE IDEA Lab. This initiative promotes creativity, innovation, product development, interdisciplinary learning, and entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty members.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) and a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education, the System Society of India, and the International Association of Engineers.
