Procedures and Policies for Maintaining
Maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, library and sports complex are carried out systematically by the institution. These facilities are maintained by House Keeping under the supervision of non-teaching staff and floor supervisors.
The classrooms are utilized for students on working days and are also made available to governmental and non-governmental organizations for conducting examinations during vacations and holidays. Masonry and plumbing works are carried out by local skilled personnel and the expenses are met from the maintenance fund. Laboratory equipment are serviced by manufacturers and service personnel during summer and winter vacations. Stock registers are maintained regularly.

Maintenance of ICT Facilities
In our college, the Computer Maintenance Cell and its support staff maintain the ICT facilities including computers and servers. Annual maintenance includes software installation, antivirus updates and upgradation of systems.
To minimize e-waste, electronic gadgets like projectors, computers, printers and photocopiers are serviced and reused. Campus Wi-Fi is maintained by the computer center.
Maintenance of Library
The working hours of the library are from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on working days and from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on holidays.
Maintenance activities are carried out periodically to keep the library clean and to arrange returned books in their respective sections. Activities such as fumigation, preservation of books from insects and dust, and shelving of reading materials are carried out regularly by housekeeping and library staff.
Maintenance of Classroom & Laboratories Equipment
The respective faculty members, staff, lab assistants and service personnel are given responsibility to maintain the equipment under their purview. Stock registers, log books and issue registers are maintained by the respective laboratory in-charges to report entries and defects for rectification.
Major repairs are identified and external expertise is sought for maintenance of equipment. Standard operating procedures for all high-end equipment are made available to the users. In-campus users register in the log books and are responsible for safe handling of the equipment.
Breakage and repair, if any, are reported to the Head of Department or the concerned Lab in-charge and suitable measures are taken for speedy functioning of the equipment. Breakage of glassware intended for use by students is entered and charges are levied based on the cost of the equipment payable by the students at the end of the year.
Maintenance of Sports Complex / Activities
Through best practices, the students outshine in the field of sports. Excellent infrastructure is provided for sports with a 400 meter running track and synthetic courts for indoor sports activities.
The playground is maintained with markers to differentiate the various areas and field equipment like posts, umpire stands and score boards are serviced regularly. The college uses laborers on daily wages to keep the playground clean and in good condition during tournaments and sports day celebrations.
Sports equipment such as balls, bats and nets provided to students are marked to control damage or loss, and to collect them back safely and record them in the equipment movement register.
Maintenance of Power Supply and Electrical Maintenance
Power supply is maintained by regular technical staff through proper systems and captive gensets as backup for 24 hours. A CUMINS Make power generator (180 KVA) is installed in the campus to handle occasional power shutdowns and is under AMC by M/S Network Diesels, authorized dealer of Powerica.
Garden maintenance, tree plantation and ground maintenance are carried out by the gardener appointed by the institution. NSS, NCC and YRC maintain certain sections of the college for planting saplings. Certain areas are also maintained by the departments for their laboratory activities.
