About NSS
NSS is an extension aspect to the higher education system to learn about the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institutions, under the guidance of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
The NSS promotes the spirit of volunteerism and encourages students to work for the betterment of the society. It also encourages students to take part in various social activities like health and sanitation programs, environment awareness campaigns, and literacy drives.
The scheme offers students a chance to serve the community and to directly interact with the people. Through the NSS, students learn to work in groups, develop leadership skills, and develop an understanding of social and civic responsibility.
