Youth Red Cross (YRC)

About YRC

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a voluntary organization of young people inspired by the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It is an auxiliary of the Indian Red Cross Society and is affiliated with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The main objectives of the Youth Red Cross are to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times the spirit of voluntary service among youth, to provide humanitarian assistance for the needy, and to promote and protect human life, health and dignity. The YRC undertakes various humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, thereby contributing to the creation of a peaceful and healthy society.

We take great pride in the fact that TKEC is a part of this esteemed organization. Through YRC activities, students are encouraged to uphold the noble ideals of the society by spreading awareness about personal and public health, understanding civic responsibilities, and acting with humanitarian concern to fulfill those responsibilities in the best possible manner.
